Maurice Baker

Maurice Baker (born on July 28, 1979) is an American professional basketball player who currently plays for the Santa Cruz Warriors of the NBA Development League. He played college basketball at both Dixie State College and Oklahoma State University. Baker previously spent time in the NBA with the Los Angeles Clippers and the Portland Trail Blazers.
Since 2004, Baker has had several stints with the Dakota Wizards (now the Santa Cruz Warriors) of the Continental Basketball Association and NBA D-League. He was a D-League All-Star in 2009. He has also played professionally in Syria, Puerto Rico, Russia, Lithuania, France and the Philippines.
==Professional career==
In 2003, Baker joined BC Avtodor Saratov of the Russian Basketball Super League, playing in 6 games averaging 4.0 points, 3.2 rebounds, and 1.2 assists per game. In March 2004, Baker signed with Al Ittihad and later with Correcaminos Matamoros of the Mexican LNBP.〔(MAURICE BAKER basketball profile )〕
He signed with the Dakota Wizards of the CBA in December 2004.〔 In February 2005, Baker signed a 10-day contract with the Los Angeles Clippers of the NBA and played one game before returning to the Dakota Wizards. In March 2005, Baker signed a 10-day contract with the Portland Trail Blazers and played four games.〔
In October 2005, Baker again signed with the Dakota Wizards. In January 2006, he signed with Lietuvos Rytas of the Lithuanian LKL.〔
From 2006–2008, Baker played with the Dakota Wizards, now of the NBA Development League, before signing with Paris-Levallois of France in January 2008. For the 2008–09 season, he again returned to the Wizards.〔
In the summer of 2009, Baker played 16 games for Atleticos de San German of Puerto Rican Baloncesto Superior Nacional (BSN). He then played the 2009–10 season with the Wizards. In April 2010, Baker signed with Indios de Mayaguez of Puerto Rico.〔
Later that year, Baker signed with Ola Verde de Poza Rica of the Mexican LNBP. He left Mexico in December 2010. In January 2011, he moved back to the Wizards. He then played in summer 2011 for the Talk 'N Text Tropang Texters of the Philippine Basketball Association and Guaiqueries de Margarita of the Venezuelan Liga Profesional de Baloncesto.
In 2011–12, he again played for the Wizards. In 2012, he joined Cañeros del Este of the Dominican Republic.
In November 2012, he was acquired by the newly established Santa Cruz Warriors. In November 2013, he was reacquired by the Santa Cruz Warriors.〔(Santa Cruz Warriors Announce Training Camp Roster )〕 On February 4, 2014, he was waived by the Warriors. On February 24, 2014, he was reacquired by the Warriors. In November 2014, he was again reacquired by the Warriors. On April 26, 2015, he won the D-League championship with the Warriors.
On November 2, 2015, Baker was reacquired by Santa Cruz.
